We were thinking about it some time ago .. but then we had
to release SLC4 .. and it wasn;t sure if apt(rpm) will
survive after Mandriva was formed at the time:

so we switched to yum, leaving apt for compatibility
.. but then why to maintain both .. ?

Maybe we'll look at it again for SLC5 ..
