Scientific Linux (3,4, and 5) have *always* used RedHat's kernel source. We
don't do *anything* with the src.rpm that comes from them. We don't even
unpack the src.rpm, we simply do a "rpmbuild --rebuild "

How can I be so sure? Because if we ever changed that policy even once, then
we would constantly be bombarded with "please put this in the kernel"

That is the reason we have kernel-module rpm's. So that we can add kernel
modules without touching the kernels.

Troy

p.s. Why are you so worried about these drivers?

   rpm -qp --changelog <rpm>
or
download all of redhat's kernels, install them, and look.
