When booting from the 1st CD in rescue mode, what is the program that scans for SL
installation on the disk and then mounts it under /mnt/sysimage?

When it runs and mounts my SL installation under /mnt sysimage implicitly, even in
read-only mode, I can't unmount /mnt/sysimage.

I want to unmount /mnt/sysimage so as to perform an "e2fsck -c -c -C -y
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00" (surface scan).

If I choose Skip, during the rescue mode, /dev/VolGroup00 doesn't exist.

Thanks in advance.
