I want to verify my understanding about RPM architecture labeling.

I know that i386 is the generic x86 RPM for x86, Pentium, etc.
ia64 is for 64-bit processors.

what is x86_64 targets?

I have no 64-bit processors, so I have been skipping the ia64 updates, but the x86_64 made me stop and wonder.

Thanks.
