It means going to the GNOME or KDE button that brings
up a bunch of menus, finding the one that changes your
display options or preferences, and finding the button
that says "probe" on the adapter and monitor tabs.  Since
I'm not on a 4.1 system, I won't try to tell you exactly
how to get there.
