Hi all - Seeing exactly this problem on a Dell 700m, clean SL4.2 install 
and
fully updated:

It seems that this is fixed in hal (or at least the b44 driver is 
blacklisted)
but we're running hal-0.4.2 vs. 0.4.6.   I guess the 'fix' hasn't been 
backported
in RHEL.  I'll try to build the hal src and see if that fixes it, but 
wanted to
check if any one has experienced and/or fixed this issued already?
