Remove the "rhgb quiet" from grub boot line: we will be able
to see more information as why it fails

(my guess: SMP kernels allocates interrupts different way
than the install UP kernel: disk controller does not get
any and device cannot be found
Most likely some additional boot options will be needed
in your grub conf: alike acpi=off .. etc)
