Thanks very much for this command:
yum --enablerepo=sl-contrib info ati-x11-drv
It appeared to load, although I did get a warning, 
"Installing this package will taint your kernel, so please do not report
*any* bugs before you uninstall the package and reboot the system" (And
retry the 'bug'?)
However, while rebooting I receive this message prior to seeing GUI,
"Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) notwithin permissible range" and th
en
it 'hangs' for about 1 minute.  Once the GUI opens up, I still do not see

how I can get, for example, 1280x1024 res.  i.e.: Only 640x800 and 800x60
0
are offered under System, Administration, Display.
Note: /etc/X11/xorg.conf was updated to [Section "Device" Driver "radeon"
]
Anything else I should do?
