hello all.

when browsing the internet, i save files, downloads, etc, i save them to
"Desktop Folder". later, i opened Konqueror to 'desktop' directory, enable
horizontal split view. in lower view, i open directory i wish to move items to.

last week, when i was moving about 8 items from "Desktop Folder", i
accidentally move the "Trash Can" icon. when i move icon back to "Desktop
Folder", it moved, but looked rather strange. reason being that is _behind_
the "Desktop Folder" between 2 normal icons, and i can not get to it with
cursor to move it. the icon is the icon that shows there trash is "Trash Can".

also, there is now a non folder type icon that shows as "Home" which shows in
it's 'properties' window title bar "Home.desktop" and contains what is in my
'/home/geo' directory.

so, my questions are;

1- how can i remove "Trash" icon that is behind "Desktop Folder" and
restore a normal "Trash" icon to "Desktop Folder"?

      running 'locate Trash'

2- what should i do with the "Home" icon?

i have considered creating a new user and then moving all from old folder to
new folder, but i do not know if this would solve problem, as it may carry
the problem. tho answer may be to be selective in what i move.

thoughts?

suggestions?

any and all are most welcome.

tia.
