Have it struck you that perhaps lots of Windows admins and users have
provided feedback on how difficult they find Linux ... and thus
developers have taken some steps to improve Linux into a direction
embracing new user groups?

Most of the complaints and rants I hear these days are mostly from Unix
users expecting Linux to stay as similar to how Unix was in the 80s and
90s.  And equally disregarding how also Unix have developed since those
days.
