yum --enablerepo=sl-contrib install ipw3945d ipw3945-firmware 
kernel-module-ipw3945-`uname -r`

This command worked! The files have been successfully downloaded. 
Yea!

Now, this might sound like a dumb question but into what directory
do the downloaded files go? I can not run the driver becuase I can't find
it.
