It's me again:)

Maybe I could ask my question in an easy way:

I want to know in a driver diskette for SL 3.0.5, for example a SCSI

driver disk or RAID driver disk which files should be there?

   For RedHat,there are modinfo£¬modules.cgz£¬modules.dep£¬pcitable and

rhdd-1.1

For SL ,should I put some special file (such as slXX-1.1) or change some

file?

I am eager for your reply.....*6*

Subject: Please tell me why I couldn't install the SAS driver on SL3.0.5

To: [log in to unmask]

I want to install the SAS driver(LSI SAS1064,1068) on a server.

Depending on the experience ,I build a system (2.4.21-32.0.1) on a vmware

esx system, and compiled the source code into *.o files, and put them into

one modules.cgz file,and then ,I put the modules.cgz file into a diskette

which include other 5 files( modules.dep, pcitable,

the problem is , I could not install it on the SAS driver

I want to know ,if there require any special files which should be put into

the driver diskette?just like rhdd6-1 and pcitable?
