I use OS X all the time to access our cluster using SSH.  I  
duplicated your command, and I also get the debug errors, so that  
must not be a problem. Can you connect with another linux machine to  
this address? I would also check the logs on the server. The client  
is connecting to the server

so it might be a server side error.
