It is fairly easy to do... to move between RHEL, CentOS and SL... and probably OEL too.  I've done it a few times but not something I do regularly nor recently.  I'd recommend for your own piece of mind, you do it a few times in a virtual machine... small install... medium install... large install.  I don't recall having any issues the few times I did it.
