Hello,
two days ago I installed
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/41/kernel/current/kernel-module-firewire-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-1286-5.sl4.psi.i686.rpm
http://linux.web.psi.ch/dist/scientific/41/kernel/current/firewire-1286-5.sl4.psi.i686.rpm
and I connect a 1Tb disk to my Dell C810 laptop.
I could then mount it and copy a few Gb. Yesterday everything was Ok but today
I don't see it any longer.
Help would be greatly appreciated as there is only a very slow USB-1 interface
on this laptop.
