During installation from SL.53.031609.DVD.i386.disc1.iso in install.log:

Installing 5:fuse-2.6.3-1.SL.i386
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.78583: line 1: /sbin/MAKEDEV: No such file or directory
error: %post(fuse-2.6.3-1.SL.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 127

Seems like, MAKEDEV package is lost in SL.53.031609.DVD.i386.disc1.iso
(and packages 915resolution, java-1.6.0-sun-compat,  jdk, MySQL-python,
openafs-kernel-source too).

In x86_64 DVDs -- same situation.
