What does "HTML remote installation method" mean? That may be a
virtlib configuration limitation with the anaconda installer's
expectations: If so, can you use a CD or DVD installation image
instead? Or simply send a pre-built SL 7.2 operating system imge,
instead? Which virtualization system are you using?

With previous installation I remember the installation started nevertheless and I could configure a static IP configuration as part of the installation process. Unfortunately, I didn’t found any opportunity to define a static IP prior to the installation process aborting.
