I have a license of several versions of VMware Workstation, and I have a license for VMware Fusion on OSX. The KVM interface on EL7 works better than either, in my experience. And I say this while actively using a Windows 7 VM right now in a window on my EL7 desktop (and connected through 802.11 wireless.....)
