That command searches in the description of a package for the string you give it. It doesn't search the title of the package at all. The command you want is "yum list" and "yum install" yum list kernel-xen-devel and then yum install kernel-xen-devel or if you want a specific version, put that on as well yum install kernel-xen-devel-2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 Hope this helps.
