My machine is running on an Intel Core i3-330M Processor with Intel HD Graphics built-in to the chip. It's a Dell Studio 17 laptop by the way. Everything on the screen is so dim it might as well be black. I tried booting from both Ubuntu and Fedora Live CD's. Dimming was not a problem for either of those distros. I talked to some IT guy who suggested I hunt down a parameter called 'gamma' and adjust it. I hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I really want to give SL a try.
