Actually
i have many old systems having pentium 4 cpu with 512MB RAM in my Lab
.. So the versions above 5 will make the systems slow..Thats why i m
using sl4.6..
In newer systems i m using slc5.3, slc5.4, slc5.5 ....which r working
fine.
Anyways i am trying the command
yum --enablerepo=dag install flash-plugin
and its doing something positive .I will report u after the completion.
Thanks.

Hi,
The problem is that adobe has stop the support for older Linux
distributions. And SL 4.6. is an "old" distribution. Are
there any reasons why you use SL 4.6 and not the newer SL 5.5?
You can still google for old flash-plugin rpms and install
them.
For example have a look at
http://packages.sw.be/flash-plugin/
There is one for RHEL4 and CentOS-4 x86 32bit which should work on SL
4.6.
http://packages.sw.be/flash-plugin/flash-plugin-9.0.152.0-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm
I don't have a SL4 system at the moment to test. The rpm comes from DAG
repo, so
yum --enablerepo=dag install flash-plugin
may work.
Please note, the 9.0.152 version of flash-plugin is an old one and as a
lot of security problems!
Flash-plugin is not open source and the only one who can fix it is
Adobe.
Hope this helps,
Urs
