Hi Akemi, Thanks for testing. I had other users reporting this problem with SL5.1 and SL5.2 LiveCD. It seems to be really hardware dependent. For the users I know the problem went away using SL 5.4. I don't know how often this happens and whether the problem is back again in SL5.5 LiveCD. As far as I remember the problem did not happen all the time. It was not reproducible. However, it seems to be reproducible on your system...? In the cases I know, udev was hanging running "/lib/udev/udev_run_hotplugd". Could you please test the following on your system - if possible ;-) - is the centos livecd working? - is the SL 5.5. 32bit LiveCD (or LiveDVD) working? Thanks a lot, Urs On 06/01/2010 05:07 PM, Akemi Yagi wrote: > On Mon, May 31, 2010 at 11:17 AM, Urs Beyerle <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> SL55 miniLiveCD/LiveCD/DVD for i386 and x86_64 are ready for testing: >> >> http://www.livecd.ethz.ch/download/testing/55/i386/ >> http://www.livecd.ethz.ch/download/testing/55/x86_64/ >> >> With every release the individual packages get larger and larger.
