Robert, 'Hold that thought'! After weeding thru an archaic Linux book I really "fell into" the Add/Remove Software "Search" tab and only instinctively entered ati-x11-drv to find a repository... So, I now have 1152x864 and 1280x800 resolutions to choose from. -Not ba d for a rookie w/ years of only MicroStuff... Now I see how repositories w ork. Thanks. Robert, Thanks for the tip, although I find that the " rpm -ql ati-x11-drv" comma nd yields message "ati-x11-drv" is not installed. How do I install this? I already searched for it via Add/Remove Software , but I suspect I have to run a manual download of some kind... Please advise. Thanks. I don't know about ATI as I use NVIDIA and I have to do 'nvidia-xconfig' command to get a nice resolution. I gess there is an equivalent command for ati and doing an 'rpm -ql ati-x11-drv' will show you this command. Hope this help. -- Best regards, Robert FRANCHISSEUR
