Hi,
Did I mess up with the security errata push out, or did you install this 
from the testing area?
kernel-module-xfs was not supposed to be pushed out to the security 
area.  Try removing 
kernel-module-xfs-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5-0.4-2.sl5.x86_64.rpm, boot into the 
164.6.1 kernel, and see if things are working better.

rpm -e kernel-module-xfs-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5
