Hi, Did I mess up with the security errata push out, or did you install this from the testing area? kernel-module-xfs was not supposed to be pushed out to the security area. Try removing kernel-module-xfs-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5-0.4-2.sl5.x86_64.rpm, boot into the 164.6.1 kernel, and see if things are working better. rpm -e kernel-module-xfs-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5 Troy Andreas Nowack wrote: > Hello, > > after the upgrade of the kernel, I cannot mount xfs filesystems any more. > > I get this error: > mount: Operation not supported > > /var/log/messages tells me: > Nov 6 12:48:19 grid-se118 kernel: Filesystem "cciss/c1d0p1": Disabling barriers, not supported by the underlying device > Nov 6 12:48:19 grid-se118 kernel: XFS mounting filesystem cciss/c1d0p1 > Nov 6 12:48:19 grid-se118 kernel: SELinux: (dev cciss/c1d0p1, type xfs) has no security xattr handler > > I installed these packages: > kernel-devel-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5.x86_64.rpm > kernel-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5.x86_64.rpm > kernel-headers-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5.x86_64.rpm > kernel-module-xfs-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5-0.4-2.sl5.x86_64.rpm > > The problem disappears if I downgrading to the old kernel 2.6.18-128.7.1. > > Best regards, > Andreas > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Dr. Andreas Nowack email: [log in to unmask] > RWTH Aachen > III.
