The second Release Candidate for Scientific Linux 5.4 has been released forboth i386 and x86_64. We have created CD's, and DVD's for both i386 and x86_64. This is very close to the release. We have updated the inportant things, like updates, so that they say, and point at 5.4. We have also moved this into the 5.4 area, so that we can test these scripts. But please note that we haven't officially released SL 5.4. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- DOWNLOAD INFO ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/5rolling/i386 http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/5rolling/x86_64 http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/5rolling/iso ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHANGES by Scientific Linux ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- **perl modules ** Updated perl modules we had already provided from EPEL ** Some modules had to many dependancies, so were not updated i386 ** perl-DBD-XBase-0.241-6.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-MailTools-1.77-2.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-SQL-Statement-1.15-5.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-TermReadKey-2.30-5.el5.i386.rpm ** perl-Text-Template-1.44-5.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-Tk-804.028-3.el5.i386.rpm x86_64 ** perl-MailTools-1.77-2.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-SQL-Statement-1.15-5.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-TermReadKey-2.30-5.el5.x86_64.rpm ** perl-Text-Template-1.44-5.el5.noarch.rpm ** perl-Tk-804.028-3.el5.x86_64.rpm ** perl-DBD-XBase-0.241-6.el5.noarch.rpm **sl-release ** Updated to that updates point to 54 not rolling ** Updated release-notes to be the latest release notes i386 ** sl-release-5.4-1.i386.rpm ** sl-release-notes-5.4-1.noarch.rpm x86_64 ** sl-release-5.4-1g.x86_64.rpm ** sl-release-notes-5.4-1.noarch.rpm **yum-conf ** Updated to point to 54 instead of 5rolling ** Added ftp2.scientificlinux.org to repositories i386/x86_64 ** yum-conf-54-1.SL.noarch.rpm ** yum-conf-5x-1-8.SL.noarch.rpm
