Hi Urs, I also ran a test on my laptop using the LiveCD x86_64. On Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 5:41 AM, Urs Beyerle <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Hi Akemi, > > Thanks a lot for your feedback. I guess it's more a RHEL kernel issue than a LiveCD issue - but I'm only guessing. Yes, this must be the kernel / firmware issue. On my laptop, wireless failed as well. It apparently identified the hardware (4965) and loaded the right driver (iwlagn). This laptop currently runs SL-5 and the wireless works fine with the iwl4965 module. > Display resolution: Maybe it would help to specify the display resolution on boot prompt with boot > parameter screen: > linux screen=1680x1050 > Or for NVIDIA cards. Yes, I saw the same clock issue. It seems to have reset the hardware clock of my laptop. Thanks for all the hard work! Akemi
