I'm not sure about that. I run 64-bit Fedora 8 on Intel, and run several 
32-bit guests.

It might well not work the other way around, but I don't plan to test 
that as I chose to run 64-bits so results of upgrading to 4 Gbytes of 
RAM will be better.
