Hi Troy, Thanks for the hint. It is now working. However it involved a few more steps, which might be evident for someone more experienced, but here it is as it might be helpful for someone else: I had kernel 2.6.18-8.1.3 instaled and the latest is now 2.6.18-8.1.8 so I did as suggested: yum install kernel-devel (brought in *-8.1.8) yum install kernel (installed latest version and I rebooted using it) yum install kernel-headers (Nvidia complained about missing headers and aborted before I did this) I used sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-100.14.11-pkg2.run kernel-source-path /usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-8.1.8.el5-x86_64 Regards, Luis On Thu, 2007-08-09 at 14:27, Troy Dawson wrote: > Luis Torres wrote: > > Hello, > > > > I installed SL5.0 in a new system (x86_64), which has a NVidia board, so > > I was forced to install the OS in text mode.
