It would seem that my LDAP connections are subject to Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principal. What could possibly be affected on a per-user basis by SSL versus non-SSL LDAP connections and affect SL 4.2 but not FC5? /me goes off to google up a ritual suicide howto... jbh
