I tried the "Soundcard Detection" Gnome menu item; it reported Vendor: Intel Model: 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller Module: snd-intel8x0 Test sound worked, and after that I get sound when e.g. playing an MP3. However, I still get "Sorry, no mixer elements and/or devices found" upon running Volume Control. On Fri, 2006-02-03 at 10:12 -0600, Troy Dawson wrote: > Which sound card?
