Synaptic, apt-indicator (kind of applet alike RHN applet)
and updated apt packages are available for inclusion in SL4X

(temporary at: http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/tempsync/updatestodo/SL4X,
Connie could you please push these into official repository ?)
