with "X11"!! => /etc/X11/gdm/Init/Default  . I find
/etc/gdm/Init/Default on my installation, too. But its not executed
either, I inserted

echo "hello123" > /tmp/test123.txt

but  no file created.

yes, desktop support for the XDMCP thinclients. I can even login at
their xdm with different users (so far,. with Suse installations)
> If not you could add your X11vnc command to $HOME/.Xclients
.Xclients did not exist yet. I created, but nothing happens with code
inside, I tested echo "kkkk" > /tmp/test6787.txt

thats already done!

I need hardware display for support. Its a new server, now with SL6.10.
Suse so far.

I can start x11vnc manually always, or perhaps automatically after user
logged in. But I prefer to make login at gdm.
