Ok, looks like this is it. from sudo.sw, version 1.9.5p2 fixes CVE-2021-3156,
download the el6 rpm file, install, looks okey. both 64-bit and 32-bit RPMs are available.

[root@ladd00 ~]# rpm --upgrade -vh /daq/daqstore/olchansk/linux/SL/sudo-1.9.5-3.el6.x86_64.rpm
[root@ladd00 ~]# sudo -V
Sudo version 1.9.5p2
