I got a report from one of my coworkers who saw this issue with our oVirt installs: cockpit-dashboard-195.5-2.sl7.noarch.rpm from the SL extras repo is broken. We either need to remove it and stick with the installed 195.1-1.el7 from centos ovirt-4.3, or possibly go to the 195.6-1.el7 version from CentOS extras, or maybe it will fix itself when SL extras syncs with the latest CentOS extras? Details: yum updates on the ovirt systems are failing with the error: Failed to check for updates with the following error message: Failed to build transaction: cockpit-dashboard-195.5-2.sl7.noarch requires cockpit-ssh >= 135 The current version of cockpit-dashboard on these systems is cockpit-dashboard-195.1-1.el7.x86_64 from the ovirt-4.3-centos-ovirt43 repo: [root@lnx82 root]# yum info cockpit-dashboard-195.1-1.el7.x86_64 Name : cockpit-dashboard Arch : x86_64 Version : 195.1 Release : 1.el7 Size : 233 k Repo : installed From repo : ovirt-4.3-centos-ovirt43 Summary : Cockpit remote servers and dashboard URL : https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__cockpit-2Dproject.org_&d=DwIFAw&c=gRgGjJ3BkIsb5y6s49QqsA&r=gd8BzeSQcySVxr0gDWSEbN-P-pgDXkdyCtaMqdCgPPdW1cyL5RIpaIYrCn8C5x2A&m=EKDySQoKNkTkNO3E5iGYj3-3IT1zQjHx3ONom2EfM1s&s=IKTP0-qXG70Dr6CE50iipVcbvkqGTpJ9HkpEPwUjbhg&e= License : LGPLv2+ Description : Cockpit support for connecting to remote servers (through ssh), : bastion hosts, and a basic dashboard. which comes from the baseurl: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__mirror.centos.org_centos_7_virt_x86-5F64_ovirt-2D4.3_common_&d=DwIFAw&c=gRgGjJ3BkIsb5y6s49QqsA&r=gd8BzeSQcySVxr0gDWSEbN-P-pgDXkdyCtaMqdCgPPdW1cyL5RIpaIYrCn8C5x2A&m=EKDySQoKNkTkNO3E5iGYj3-3IT1zQjHx3ONom2EfM1s&s=mdgSG0u8hCpbmhZ5Yx6dNlKmsaBLp3cA1ZsswiCdU1w&e= where that is the latest version. Looking at CentOS https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__mirror.centos.org_centos_7_extras_x86-5F64_Packages_&d=DwIFAw&c=gRgGjJ3BkIsb5y6s49QqsA&r=gd8BzeSQcySVxr0gDWSEbN-P-pgDXkdyCtaMqdCgPPdW1cyL5RIpaIYrCn8C5x2A&m=EKDySQoKNkTkNO3E5iGYj3-3IT1zQjHx3ONom2EfM1s&s=_xW4Sz8wLNll6-b5J7L8V9nZcGmcG5ARaQYizk-l5V8&e= they have cockpit-dashboard-195.1-1.el7.centos.0.1.x86_64.rpm cockpit-dashboard-195.6-1.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm (from yesterday) but not 195.5-2.sl7.noarch, so I have no idea where SL got their 195.5-2.sl7.noarch from. The broken RPM is from April 7, the latest from CentOS extras is yesterday--presumably SL extras should eventually update to match the CentOS extras? -- James Pulver CLASSE Computer Group Cornell University
