There is your problem, you have to disable the "rhgb" and "quiet" options
in the grub config file so you can see all the boot messages
and so you can identify the exact place where booting stops.

As it is, you ask "my car does not start, why?" and to
the reasonable questions "do you hear the engine turn?" and "does it have any gas?"
you reply that your cannot hear the engine because you are listening
to music from your iphone and you cannot see the the gas guage
because it is covered by a pretty cat picture.
