No kidding. Here with CentOS 7.3 trying to self-update to 7.4, I see yum grow to 20-30 GBytes
trying to process the dependancies (no problem on machines with 32 or 64 GB RAM). Looks
like a circular dependancy or something, to make yum so sick.

"yum remove libgpod" fixes this problem, yum successfully updates 7.3 to 7.4.

For me, every CentOS 7.3 machine is affected by this problem (rhythmbox is installed by default,
pulls in libgpod, pulls in the libgpod update from EPEL, kaboom!).

This problem is listed in the CentOS 7.4 release notes. So "they" knew that
yum will bomb on all machines with the typical configuration (EPEL is enabled),
but pushed the release out anyway, thank you very much.
