A quick hunt online found the 1.50 source here:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/mageia/distrib/cauldron/SRPMS/core/release/autoscan-1.50-15.mga6.src.rpm

Armed with that, you should be able to keep it living for a while, maybe 
some tweaks for changes in GTK, etc.
