I'd advise against SL7 on a tablet; Scientific Linux
(like RHEL) is great for servers, maybe for older
laptops, but any 'new' hardware is going to cause 
problems because of the time it takes updates to
propagate. 

Fedora or Ubuntu are more appropriate, depending on
your preferences.
