It looks very likely that's the same cause here.

I wonder if this is a firefox bug or an ffmpeg-lib bug (I don't see any bug
filed at rpmfusion as yet).

It's easy enough to remove ffmpeg-libs (which also takes out mplayer, vlc
et al), but there are precious few multimedia options for SL6 desktop users
as it stands, so would be nice if we could preserve them as working!
