I can also report success. Upgrading from SL 6.6 (w/ all security updates) as well as a PXE kickstart install worked fine (64-bit Desktop system).

SL_desktop_tweaks.rpm still seems to work fine. Maybe it should be a default package in the Desktop yum group. It's not on SL 6.6 either though.
