Reviewing both the SL and SLC 6x distributions, two updates appear to have been released by Red Hat for RHEL6
which are in the current CERN builds, but are not the core SL build:
chkconfig (produces chkconfig and ntsysv) was updated to version 1.3.49.3-5.el6 on February 18, 2015, and
environment-modules (produces environment-modules) was updated to version 3.2.9c-6.el6 on May 15, 2015.
Given that these are fairly important subsystems, is there any information on why these were excluded from the current SL releases?
