Hi Bill,

This is the first I'm hearing of a shutdown issue with 7.1.

I'm surprised this behavior changed between the BETA and RC1.  Did you 
upgrade to the RC from the BETA or reinstall?

The attached rsync log is a complete list of differences between the 
BETA and RC1.  I'm not sure how the changes listed there could cause a 
failure to shutdown if things worked as expected with the BETA.

Historically, I've seen that behavior with bogus ACPI tables, are you 
running the latest BIOS (asus shows this is v1301)?
