Au contraire - right now, for example, I cannot install marco from EPEL:
# yum install marco
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks, priorities
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* epel: mirrors.rit.edu
* sl: ftp2.scientificlinux.org
* sl-fastbugs: ftp2.scientificlinux.org
* sl-security: ftp2.scientificlinux.org
3 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package marco.x86_64 0:1.8.3-1.el7 will be installed
--> Processing Dependency: libgtop-2.0.so.10()(64bit) for package:
marco-1.8.3-1.el7.x86_64
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: marco-1.8.3-1.el7.x86_64 (epel)
Requires: libgtop-2.0.so.10()(64bit)
libgtop-2.0.so.10 is in the libgtop2 package in 7.1.
