Hi,
by looking at the yum log you provided it is clear the 32bit paraview
need a lot of 32b libraries .. those libraries have deps so the install
gets bigger this way.
I'd do this install, only if really last resort. It shouldn't touch you
current install, but it's a lot ballast the OS doesn't need.
I'd try to have a look which VGA driver you have recently and if there
is possible to reinstall or upgrade.
What type of VGA do you have, do you have xorg.conf and which driver do
you use?
What you /var/log/Xorg.log says after crash?
