Please, try not to hijack threads (always write *new* message when you

You should try kernel from elrepo (3.2.63). It might support xhci
driver, however even if it does, it's questionable whether you'll be
able to use USB 3.0. Early USB 3.0 support was pretty buggy in Linux,
causing various problems with hubs and devices - they could hang, reset
and so on. At least some devices should work fine but not all.
So, feel free to try it out but don't complain if you will experience
problems... If you will, upgrading is probably the only option (besides
compiling newer kernel yourself, which might or might not work with old
distro).
