I have used the ASUS USB-N13 adapter with SL6. Do not remember if it
used stock drivers or ELREPO drivers. NetworkManager tools worked
just fine for configuration & etc.

The major caveat is that sometimes some vendors replace the chip inside
the device, but keep the same model and part number, so in a way
you buy a cat in a sack.
