Mahmood,

It may be useful to use other search capabilities in yum.
For example:
yum whatprovides */xterm

This does a file or dependency based search instead of just package 
names/descriptions.

I'm not running SL6, but in SL5 it is in a dedicated package called 
'xterm', which appears to no longer be present in SL6.
