SELinux is not your friend, I suspect. But run "showmount -e servername" to get some idea of what is actually configured on the NFS server, try mounting it manually, and consider setting SELinux to "permissive" while you run some tests.

NFS has also been changing: NFSv3 used to be the default for auto mounting, now it is NFSv4, which requires different firewall and VPN setups.
