I mount them with a script, that would be manually I guess.

        NFSv4

Not sure how to answer this but:

          [bobg@box7 ~]$ ll /usr/bin/notecase
        -rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 6485784 Nov 25 09:22 /usr/bin/notecase

        [bobg@box7 ~]$ ll /mnt/HOME1/notecase/notecase/stuff.ncd
        -rw-rw-r--. 1 nobody nobody 1168841 Feb 5 13:05
        /mnt/HOME1/notecase/notecase/stuff.ncd

        /etc/fstab (client):

        192.168.1.8:/home/ /mnt/HOME1/ nfs4 defaults 0 0
        192.168.1.8:/data/ /mnt/DATA1/ nfs4 defaults 0 0
        192.168.1.48:/SRVR1/ /mnt/BOX48/ nfs4
        defaults 0 0

        /etc/fstab (server):

        # bind mounts

        /home/data nfs4exports/data none rw,bind 0 0

        /home/home nfs4exports/home none rw,bind 0 0

Not sure where/what/ for MTU's. Ignorance prevails.
