Does anyone have a build of Heimdall under SL6, preferably X86-64?

Please see: https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/tree/v1.3.2

and related.

The heimdall application is a Linux compatible replacement for the
Samsung Odin application that is not available for linux nor in source code.

When I attempt to build the application, the first error I receive is:

configure: error: Package requirements (libusb-1.0 >= 1.0.8) were not met:

No package 'libusb-1.0' found

A search of the installed SL 6 system shows:

ls /usr/lib/*usb*

/usr/lib/libusb-0.1.so.4 /usr/lib/libusbpp-0.1.so.4.4.4
/usr/lib/libusb-0.1.so.4.4.4 /usr/lib/libusbpp.a
/usr/lib/libusb.a /usr/lib/libusbpp.so
/usr/lib/libusbpp-0.1.so.4 /usr/lib/libusb.so

that seems to indicate a much earlier version of libusb; presumably
there will be other compatibility issues as well.

If there is no build/port of this particular application, is there an
alternative?
